In this occasion, Amanda´s pictures focus on the architecture of dry trees. Letting away the vast colourful surfaces of her former works, Amanda presents the trees like skeletons: empty of leaves and covered with ice.

This work preserves for the spectator the drama of branches fracturing the winter sky and trimming its details against surfaces of grey texture. Here, we can perceive the silent cold and see that even in this state, trees keep their allure and personality.

The care in the composition and the selection of the views allows us to perceive the trees like the bones binding the sky with the earth with its branches and roots. These photographs are authentic X-ray pictures of the sky over Berlin.
