Reflet-xions, 2009

Noymann Miller Gallery ( Zig Zag Jazz Club), Berlin, Germany.

February 3 – April 4, 2013

“The virtual image is inverted and symmetric to the object with respect to the plane of reflexion.”

Descartes’s Law

This new exhibition Amanda´s objective turns towards the magic mirror of water to observe the different reflections that this surface has to offer. A reflection, in physical terms, is the image of an object obtained on a surface. The specular nature of the reflection is bounded to the characteristics of the reflecting body. The more common forms of reflection are obtained from metallic surfaces, glass or water.

Here, the images obtained are like coming out of a kaleidoscope, and, as always, through the eyes of Amanda, the results are colourful, full of hidden details and surprises. The colour palette goes from black to white covering all the colours of the rainbow. It’s an imaginary universe offered to our eyes where we are never tired of exploring each wave, each corner to discover every time in it a new element of Reflet-xions.

Amanda invites us to discover another world full of magic and dreams.
