“Poetry in times of war”

Poetry reflects everything in its own way. Violent times brought on by a soulless capitalism and the rise in global terrorism have just found a synthesis in verse (economy of language, not by using metrics) by writer Gabriela D’Arbel Carlos in her book “The Kamikase Ant” (yes, written with an “s” as per the book’s title).

The terrorist strike on November 13, 2015 in Paris brought, once again, the kamikazes to the forefront. But before then, we had the Twin Towers in New York and, before then, the Japanese pilots during World War II.
