Water, Earth, Fire and Air have been over the course of the centuries the source of inspiration. This is the case for the French photographer Amanda Bouchenoire, who, with her Portfolio “Gouttes d’eau”, offers the spectator colourful visual variations of the H2O chemical recipe.

Living in the desert in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, she realized the importance of water and took pictures of it in its more elemental form: the drop. She sees a drop of water like a diamond, it can catch every colour and acts also as a magnifying glass; anyone can see that and enjoy her beauty. They just have to open the eyes.

The photographic compositions arise then as small fragments of life, melded into visual poetry through light and Amanda’s sensitivity.

In her work, the water flows like a multicolour and multi-shape substance and the intensity of the colours calls the attention of the viewer. Deep and mysterious blues, shining reds and yellows, cold greys and subtle greens are captured through the camera to delineate minute visual delicacies.
